Dr. Syed Shirazee was born in Karachi, Pakistan into a middle class family. He was one of 4 children who were all raised in a progressive and driven environment. He attended one of the premier schools in the city for his high school education. Following his graduation from Medical School in Pakistan, he applied to come to the United States for further education and for a brighter future for his family.
He completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and from there went on to Morgantown West Virginia to finish a fellowship in Pulmonary-Critical Care medicine. He started his professional career in private practice 18 years ago in Covington, TN.
Dr. Shirazee is the current Director of Respiratory and Critical Care at Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett in addition to having a practice in partnership with Saint Francis Medical Partners, a subsidiary of Tenet Health Care.
In his travels and journey to where he is today, he has been joined by his wife of 30 years, who has been by his side with all his successes and set backs, along with his three boys.
